What to check before ordering
In the United States, the FTC Eyeglass Rule generally requires prescribers to provide a copy of an eyeglass prescription after an eye examination that includes a refraction.
You generally do not have to buy glasses from the exam provider to receive the prescription. Prescription expiration and record-request procedures can vary by state and provider.
If you do not have a copy of your prescription, you may request one from the prescriber who performed your exam. EyewearPlatform can hold an order while you obtain it.
